Registration and group seating
Each participant submits a separate registration and lists requested tablemates. Seating requests will be accommodated when possible but are not guaranteed.
Payment and seat confirmation
Payment is due within five days of registration. A seat is confirmed only after payment is matched and eligibility is confirmed.
Waitlists
When a seat becomes available, Theresa manually promotes participants from the waitlist and contacts them with next steps.
Cancellations and refunds
A participant who cancels at least seven calendar days before the event may receive a full refund. After that deadline, the registration fee is refundable only if NY Mahjong fills the seat from the waitlist. Payment-provider fees, if any, are nonrefundable. If NY Mahjong cancels the event, participants may choose a full refund or a credit toward a future event.
Photography
NY Mahjong events may be photographed for the public website, photo albums, newsletters, and official social-media accounts. Participants may select “Please do not photograph me” during registration and may also notify Theresa at the event. NY Mahjong will make reasonable efforts to honor opt-out requests. Participants may contact NY Mahjong to request review or removal of a published image.
Age and identification
Most events are family-friendly. Any event-specific age or identification requirement will be stated clearly on the event page and registration form.
Accessibility and dietary requests
NY Mahjong will make reasonable efforts to address requests when they are submitted early enough, but accommodations must be confirmed directly.
